The District Learning Plan is a public commitment by School District No. 73 (Kamloops / Thompson) to work with our education partners to enhance student learning.
The development of this plan includes consideration of the Ministry of Education Framework for Enhancing Student Learning, School District No. 73’s District Strategic Plan, individual school plans, and our Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement.
Geography
-School District No. 73 is located in the interior of British Columbia
-Spanning from Blue River in the north to Logan Lake in the south, the District covers approximately 27,000 square kilometres
-The administration offices, and the majority of schools, are located in the city of Kamloops
Summary
The implementation of this plan, along with the District Strategic Plan, the Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement, and School Plans will lead to the better strategies and structures to benefit all of our students.
This report is a living document, which will be updated from time-to-time and supported by a report out on the implementation of the District Strategic Plan by Superintendent Sidow.
We always have more learning ahead. But, as we continue to grow and learn, so too, will our students.
